Excellence in Research and Innovation since 2021
Since the School had a well-established and robust PhD programme, we deliberated on a Master's programme for quite some time. Finally, after a lot of brainstorming and discussions, the school proposed an MS (Research) programme that was debated and approved by the Institute Senate in 2021. 5 TA and up to 10 non-TA seats have been approved by the Senate, IIT Indore for the programme and it is running successfully since then.
Eligibility
Four year degree or Masters’ degree (MA/ MSc or Equivalent) or Five year integrated degree (with first division and equivalent to international applicants, as assessed by the Institute) in any subject and UGC-NET/GATE-HSS qualified. A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying degree is applicable for SC & ST category applicants. This advertisement is for both the TA & Non-TA categories. However, only GATE-HSS-qualified candidates are eligible for fellowship through the Institute TA Program.
Guidelines for Submission
You must select an appropriate research area in the discipline you are applying to. There will be a written exam followed by an interview. During the written exam, applicants will have to write a statement of purpose explaining their reasons for pursuing an M.S. Program at IIT Indore. The school conducts a rigorous evaluation process and reserves the right to call a limited number of candidates for the written test and interview.
